Anza's mommy gives us an update!

Anza was one of the smartest little girls from our litter last year. When she was a few days old, her mommy was a little impatient and jumped into the whelping box before I could let her in. In the process she clipped the tip of her ear with her nails. Luckily, a sweet woman came with her husband and daughter. They were looking for train-ability and temperament. Just so happens they got the whole package minus a little piece of ear. Anza was the first pup to figure out how to get out of the whelping box and kennel. Below are a few words from Anza's mommy, JoAnn:

Emma vom Matschenka

Von der Seele Kennel is proud to announce the arrival of Emma vom Matschenka. She is co-owned with us by our dear friend Shannon, von der Sauk kennels in South Carolina. Emma is high drive and has produced an amazing working litter. We have one pup from this previous litter and he is an amazing pup with awesome drives, excellent health, striking appearance, and a stellar temperament. Emma currently has a BH, the Begleitung or temperament test, and will be working toward her Schutzhund 1, which we expect her to achieve by the years end. We are pleased to announce that Lexi has been purchased by Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation. She will live with her new family and will produce puppies for service work! We are very excited about her future and the lives she will touch!


Lexi is a very energetic bitch with an amazing pedigree and a stunning appearance. At the NASS 2008 she was selected VP15. She is a red sable with dark mahogany eyes to match and her size is standard for Germany, she is not an over sized American dog. She is an excellent show and breeding bitch prospect.

Due to high drives, Lexi is not for the first time GSD handler. Her obedience is quick and focused but she is a busy girl and requires a handler that can keep her occupied. Her hips and elbows were done through the SV, elbows clear and hips a1. She is up to date on rabies and heartworm prevention.
