Anza was one of the smartest little girls from our litter last year. When she was a few days old, her mommy was a little impatient and jumped into the whelping box before I could let her in. In the process she clipped the tip of her ear with her nails. Luckily, a sweet woman came with her husband and daughter. They were looking for train-ability and temperament. Just so happens they got the whole package minus a little piece of ear. Anza was the first pup to figure out how to get out of the whelping box and kennel.
